What does becoming Premium mean?

In order to discover their next reading, all users can browse through the initial pages of as many books, and listen to as many samples of audiobooks, as they want. Premium users gain access to the complete catalog of ebooks and can listen to one audiobook per month. You can read books completely, without advertisements and with the additional option to read books offline, while also enjoying the social reading functionality. You can become Premium by paying a $8.99 monthly periodic subscription fee or by activating a temporary Premium code.

How can I become Premium?

You have two different options to subscribe as a Premium member:

• Paying a periodic subscription for the service. This means making a recurrent payment of $8.99 each month (renewed automatically). With this membership you'll be able to browse through all the books in the catalog, and to read the books you like best. Additionally, you have the option to read offline in our app. In order to make the payment, just click on the subscribe tab on www.24symbols.com from a computer browser (https://www.24symbols.com/subscriptions), or from our 24symbol’s native apps.

• Buying a Temporary Code. The process is very similar to the previous one, but the payment will not be charged recurrently. You buy a code for a specific time period. After the period is over, the code expires and the subscription ceases to be active. To buy one of these codes go to: https://www.24symbols.com/gift_code and you'll see at the bottom of the page the options to make the one-time payment. Once you make the purchase you will receive an email confirmation and another email with the Temporary Code and instructions on how to use it.

How much does it cost to become Premium?

Premium users pay a $8.99 monthly subscription fee (tax included). The payment is recurrent each month. You can opt out whenever you want to, as there is no minimum term constraint to remain subscribed.

How can I subscribe as a Premium user?

To become Premium you need to:

• Go to www.24symbols.com in a computer with Internet access.

• Click on "Become Premium".

• Click on the green button to subscribe. Remember it is a subscription service, meaning you will be charged periodically every month with the $8.99 subscription fee.

• With this subscription type your Premium service will be active automatically as soon as you provide the billing information needed.

How can I buy a Premium Code -Gift Code or Temporary Code-?

To become Premium for a limited period of time, or to buy a Premium Gift Code to give as a present to someone else, you need to access 24symbols from a web browser. You have to choose the length of the premium period you want to purchase: 3 months (€27). To buy a Temporary Code follow these steps:

• Click on "Gift"

• Scroll down the page until you read "Buy Code for personal use or to give as a present”.

• Click on "Three months of reading (27 EUR). You are about to buy a Temporary Code, which means you will become Premium from the moment you activate this Code until it expires, and this expiration will be automatic. However, once the period is over (and you cease being a Premium member) you will not lose your account in 24symbols, you can continue reading books from our free catalog, and browsing through the initial pages of any of other book; you will also be able to use and manage your library and include new books in your bookshelves. If you become Premium again (by subscribing or activating a new temporary code) you will immediately regain access to your selected readings, as well as to the bookmarks, highlights and notes you had used while reading them.

• Once you make the payment you will receive an email with the code you will later have to activate (in this same screen).

How can I redeem a Discount Coupon?

• Go to www.24symbols.com.

• Log in with your email and password.

• Click on BE PREMIUM.

• Click on the green button to subscribe.

• Fill in your information and select the credit card as the payment method (please note that Paypal does not apply to purchases using discount coupons). Introduce the billing information accordingly.

• When you go to the next screen, please look for the white box in the bottom left corner with the message: REDEEM YOUR COUPON. Type the coupon text you have (for example ANNUAL4).

• Once you fill the text box, click on REDEEM YOUR COUPON. You will now see the updated price you will get, according to your coupon's discount.

• With your coupon discount you will have your membership active for the time period you selected.

• In a few minutes you will receive the invoice and the billing confirmation by email. A single payment will be charged, and until the automatic renewal of the subscription is performed (after one year / three months) you won't be charged again.

Once you finish, please make sure you log out from all open sessions in 24symbols, and then log back in. This way the system will update changes and will recognize you as a Premium user.

Are Discount Coupons and Promotional Codes the same?

At 24symbols we have PROMOTIONAL CODES and DISCOUNT COUPONS. The CODES may have restrictions (access to a single book, or to a specific part of the catalog) and are valid for a specific period of time; COUPONS are discounts over the subscription price. Codes need to be activated but don't require any payment, while coupons offer a specific discount on the subscription price and need to be redeemed during the payment in order to allow the platform's payment process to recalculate the final price for the consumer (including the discount).

How can I cancel my Premium subscription to 24symbols?

• Log into 24symbols with your email and password from a computer with Internet connection (logging from a computer is important because you won't be able to modify your subscription from tablets or smartphones).

• Click on the picture icon from the main menu in the top right corner. A drill down menu will open after you click.

• Go to Subscription.

• You will see the date until which your current subscription will be active, and therefore when you will be automatically charged again: "The next payment will be charged on xx/xx/xxxx".

• If you want to CANCEL your subscription click on CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION.

Once you cancel your subscription you will still have your Premium membership active until the expiration date of the current period (the day before your next payment due date) and until that day you can continue to enjoy your Premium membership at 24symbols. After the expiration date your subscription will not be charged again since you have cancelled the automatic recharge, but instead you will receive a message inviting you to subscribe back again. In case you are interested you will be able to subscribe back immediately.
