Lorca's extraordinarily powerful drama, The House of Bernada Alba, is the last he wrote before his assassination, explores the darkness at the heart of repression.
When Bernarda's husband dies, she locks all the doors and windows. She tells her grown-up daughters to sew and be silent. 'There are eight years of mourning ahead of us. While it lasts not even the wind will get into this house.' But locks can't hold back the growing tide of desire.
This edition, translated and introduced by Jo Clifford, also contains a chronology and suggestions for further reading.

In form Dracula is an epistolary novel, told through a series of journal entries, letters, newspaper articles, and telegrams. It begins with lawyer Jonathan Harker's perilous journey to Castle Dracula in Transylvania, and chronicles the vampire's invasion of England, where he preys upon the lovely Lucy Westenra and Harker's fiancee, Mina. Hollywood is indelibly printed in our minds as the ‘go-to’ place for entertainment and has been for decades. When there really did seem to be more stars in Hollywood than in Heaven Hollywood Stage had them performing films as radio plays – on the sponsors dime of course. Classic films now become audiobooks with many featuring the original stars from way back when. Here's The Awful Truth starring Cary Grant & Claudette Colbert.

Dear Land of Flowers, forgive me! -- that I tookThese snatches from thy glittering wealth of song, And twisted to the uses of a book Strains that to alien harps can na'er belong. Thy gems shine purer in their native bed Concealed, beyond the pry of vulgar eyes; And there, through labyrinths of language led, The patient student grasps the glowing prize. Yet many, in their race toward other goals, May joy to feel, albeit at second-hand, Some far faint heart-throb of poetic souls Whose breath makes incense in the flowery Land. 'I think your son just made ten thousand pounds…'
Manny dreams of being a big dog. Right now he's just hocking fake designer goods, living with his mum and putting up with her annoying new boyfriend. The glittering skyscrapers of Canary Wharf out there through the window have never seemed so far away.
So when his best friend offers him a way to make unimaginable amounts of money, it's impossible to ignore. And soon Manny is pulling his family into a whole world of trouble.
Beru Tessema's play Wolves on Road is a thrilling deep-dive into the mysterious world of cryptocurrency, revealing how ambition and hope can be exploited, no matter the system at play. It was first performed at the Bush Theatre, London, in 2024, directed by Associate Artistic Director Daniel Bailey, in a co-production with Tamasha.
'Entertaining and energetic… couldn't be more timely… Tessema's dialogue fizzes and pops a treat' - Time Out
'Lively and full of sparky dialogue' - Evening Standard

Jeremy Dixon's first full poetry collection A Voice Coming From Then starts from his teenage suicide attempt and expands to encompass themes of bullying, queerphobia, acceptance and support. Includes unexpected typography, collage, humour, magic, discotheques and frequent appearances from the Victorian demon, Spring-heeled Jack.
Content Warning: Some poems in this book deal with themes and expressions of physical and verbal bullying, swearing, homophobia, homophobic language, queerphobia, attempted suicide and suicide.

'A moving, haunting collection that is remarkable for both its startling depictions and visual inventiveness, Jeremy Dixon brings us to the edge and says: 'listen'. I recommend you listen' - Natalie Ann Holborow

'A work of powerful vulnerability and queer resilience... holds difficult material with tenderness, precision and formal playfulness. Dixon's invocation to, 'clap and cheer and cradle your younger self' in a world where 'no system can guarantee safety' unsentimentally, but urgently, extends a hand of experience' - Caleb Parkin
'A rallying cry not just for inclusion but for love, in so many forms' - Katherine Stansfield
