The Cat and the Mouse is one of the most popular English fairy tales, it has been translated to many languages. The cat bit off the mouse’s tail. When the mouse asked her give it back, the cat agreed but the Mouse should bring her milk in return. Poor mouse came to the cow and asked for some milk, and the cow also agreed, but the mouse had to bring her hay. Then she came to the farmer, who promised to give her some hay if she would bring him some meat. Little mouse ran from one to another and everybody wanted something in return. Whether she got her tail back or not you will recognize when you read the whole story. The tale is written in a very funny style, so you and your children will enjoy it.
