Sinopse

A French Bulldog from Massachusetts plans to take over the world but first he must contend with superpowered foes in this humorous graphic novel for kids.

When Kirby, a French Bulldog with a serious Napoleon Complex, moves to a new home in the quaint New England town of Strasburg, Massachusetts, and stumbles upon a forgotten secret laboratory, he realizes that his dreams of Planetary Conquest are finally within paw’s reach. But, suddenly, Kirby realizes he isn’t alone. Seemingly out of nowhere, a strange group of people appear, exhibiting what Kirby can only describe as superpowers! Kirby must rise up against all who stand in his way to emerge victorious in this ultimate quest for world domination.

The Atomic Frenchie is the first book in a series following the adventures of Kirby, professional supervillain and future ruler of Earth, as he schemes and battles his way past evil library robots, supernatural cat ladies, superpowered mail men, and more bizarre characters to achieve his sinister dreams of ruling the world.

Praise for Atomic Frenchie

“Sweetly inspired lunacy of the highest order, a unique and perfect blend of comic book and novel that will delight readers young and old. Kirby’s lovably evil adventures are next-generation Pinky & The Brain. Sniegoski and McWeeney are mad scientists, and I can’t wait to read whatever madcap mayhem they cook up next!” —Christopher Golden, New York Times–bestselling author of Ararat

“In the paper jungle when you hear the beautiful rhythms of the Tom-Toms (Tom Sniegoski and Tom McWeeney), heed their call and you will be rewarded to an unbeatable combo of prose and art. Atomic Frenchie has it all!” —Geof Darrow, comics illustrator (Hard Boiled, The Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot)

The official novelization of the major stop-motion children's movie!
Based on the hotly anticipated new stop-motion feature film Early Man, from director Nick Park (Shaun the Sheep, Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run) and Aardman Animation, coming to U.S. theaters this February.
Meet Dug, a scrawny but cheerful caveman who loves his valley and just wants the best for his tribe of misfits. Accompanied by his faithful pig sidekick Hognob, Dug is a dreamer—why settle for hunting rabbits when you can hunt a mammoth?! Then there’s Dug’s tribe, led by the cautious Chief Bobnar. Bobnar wants the best for the tribe, too, but he sees things a little differently from Dug.
Then Dug meets the evil Lord Nooth. He’s the leader of the Bronze Age City. When the Bronze Age City invades the valley and the cavemen have to fight to save their home, Dug strikes a deal with Lord Nooth. The tribe can keep their valley if they beat the Bronze Agers at their own game: soccer!
Can Dug and Hognob really unite a motley tribe of rabbit-hunters into a serious team? It’s the Stone Age versus the Bronze Age in the match of the millennium!
Easy to read and side-splittingly funny, this story about cavemen with heart will appeal to young readers and their parents.

Four young siblings embark on a fantastical adventure in this classic children’s story by the Carnegie Medal-winning author of The Little White Horse.

When their father goes off traveling, Nan, Robert, Timothy, and Betsy Linnet are sent to stay with their grandmother. Unfortunately, their new caretaker doesn’t care much for children—let alone their dog. So they run away to stay with their Uncle Ambrose.

A retired schoolteacher, Ambrose is determined to give the Linnet children an education. But in addition to Greek, Latin, and Literature, they learn about nature and magic, the power of the past, and, of course, the importance of the bees. Armed with their new knowledge, they set off on a fantastical adventure to find the lost Valerians, undo some wicked spells, and reunite a divided family.

Linnets and Valerians is filled with Elizabeth Goudge’s trademark mixture of realism and magic. Much like The Little White Horse, it is set in Devon and inspired by local folklore and legends.
