Summary

Ritual Mask Making explores the captivating world of indigenous masks, revealing them not merely as artifacts but as vital components of spiritual rituals, cultural preservation, and governance. These masks, passed down through generations, serve as conduits to the spirit world, enabling connections with deities and ancestors in various indigenous cultures. Intriguingly, masks also function as instruments of social and political order, reflecting authority and resolving conflicts, thereby challenging Western-centric views on art and power. The book traces the historical evolution of mask-making traditions, examining the impact of colonialism and globalization. Through ethnographic studies, archaeological findings, and visual analysis, it presents a holistic view of these dynamic expressions of cultural identity. By delving into specific case studies across different cultures, the book highlights the materials, techniques, and symbolism inherent in these masks, emphasizing their contemporary relevance in promoting cultural revitalization and addressing ethical considerations surrounding their study and display.

Step into one of the most fascinating works of subterranean lore ever written. First published in 1908, The Smoky God recounts the extraordinary tale of Olaf Jansen, a Norwegian sailor who claimed to have journeyed with his father through an opening at the North Pole into a vast hidden land within the Earth.
Inside, they discovered a thriving civilization of giants, a lush inner sun known as “The Smoky God,” and a society far advanced in peace, longevity, and wisdom. Blending travel narrative, myth, and esoteric speculation, this gripping account has become a cornerstone of Hollow Earth theory and alternative history.
Is it fact, allegory, or pure imagination? That question continues to fuel its enduring mystery. What is certain is that Emerson’s book has inspired generations of explorers, mystics, and seekers to question the boundaries of geography, science, and human possibility.
Now brought to life in audiobook form, The Smoky God is more than a story—it is an invitation to explore the unknown and consider what wonders might lie hidden beneath our very feet.

Before you spend up to $75,000 in hidden child-adoption fees, adult adoptees worldwide have investigated the history of domestic and international adoption and have started a movement to end the crisis of child trafficking. You can gain a bird's-eye view on adoption secrets before you transfer funds to the adoption agency. This information is available for a short time only.
This research book has been divided into four short, easy-to-read sections, revealing the making of the current child welfare system throughout time: starting in Europe (referred to as the European Child Migration Schemes); then spreading to America (known as the Orphan Train Movement); into Asia (called the Evangelical Baby "Swoop" Era), to what's trending today: Africa.
The pioneers who built and profited from the industry continue to deny adoptees access to documents that could lead them back to their families. This book protects you against adoption profiteers and traffickers who profess God is on their side. It summarizes the inception and expansion of the adoption industry, focusing on its roots and consequences kept from public awareness. Discover the history of adoption from another angle--a view adoption agencies will never tell you. The findings have been called mind-blowing!
How would you like to be given a new identity and removed from your siblings--never to be permitted to contact them again, even upon death? This is just one of many red tape adoptees are forced to contend with because of adoption. Inspired by a Haitian adoptee who died of heart failure after learning that he had been trafficked to France for overseas adoption but was never able to acquire justice. NOT recommended for adoption profiteers, anti-abortion fundamentalists, evangelicals, or individuals against equal rights for adult adoptees. Available in a textbook format as Adoption History: An Adoptee's Research into Child Trafficking (VANCE).

Brought to you by Altrusian Grace Media and narrate by Matthew Schmitz. This is the first English translation and the only one sanctioned by Rudolf Steiner himself. First published in 1916, it is based on the original 1894 German Die Philosophie der Freiheit. Other translations have been based on the 1918 revised German edition. It includes inspiring passages about individualism that were removed from the book in 1918 and are missing in later translations. The Philosophy of Freedom is the fundamental philosophical work of philosopher, Goethe scholar and esotericist Rudolf Steiner (1861–1925). It addresses the question of whether and in what sense human beings are free. Originally published in 1894 in German as Die Philosophie der Freiheit, with a second edition published in 1918, the work has appeared under a number of English titles, including The Philosophy of Spiritual Activity (the title Steiner proposed for the English-language translation, The Philosophy of Freedom, and Intuitive Thinking as a Spiritual Path. Part One of The Philosophy of Freedom examines the basis of freedom in human thinking, gives an account of the relationship between knowledge and perception, and explores the role and reliability of thinking in the formation of knowledge. In Part Two Steiner analyzes the conditions necessary for human beings to be free, and develops a moral philosophy that he labels "ethical individualism". The book's subtitle, Some results of introspective observation following the methods of natural science, indicates the philosophical approach Steiner intends to take. Steiner hoped that the book "would gain him a professorship", but the book "did not receive the attention he had hoped for." In fact, the book was reasonably favorably received in English, with reviews in Mind, the leading journal of philosophy in England, the Philosophical Review, and the Monist and in German.
