  The role of Fathers has changed much over the course of centuries.   Men are now better suited to a role of co-parent in this modern age rather than the stilted, slightly aloof figure of times past. Being a Father is, of course, both a blessing and a burden.  This modern day parenting in a frenetic fast changing world has to be both learnt and adapted from some inner well of memory from generations past as well as on the job experience.  How to combine both the tenderness of love and support of modern views with the age old virtues of strength and leadership brings many difficulties to most men. Surprisingly then that poets have given Fathers both a courageous view of life as well as a dependability to be there for their children.  In success or failure we can identify with their hopes and dreams.  In this collection many of our greatest poets express their worded opinions of that unique role of Fatherhood – whether as one themselves or as a child reaching for that same mantle. It’s a difficult role for most men to assume and to keep perspective with but do you know any Father who is not ready to accept the challenge?   The Sunday Sessions consists of twenty-six poems, the contents of two tapes recorded by Philip Larkin in Hull in February 1980 - reportedly, each on a Sunday, after lunch with John Weeks, a sound engineer and colleague of the poet. The tapes, which contain work from Larkin's first major collection, The North Ship, as well as poems from his best-known collections, The Whitsun Weddings and High Windows, remained 'lost' for over two decades, lying on a shelf in the garage in which they were recorded. Since their rediscovery they have been the subject of widespread media attention, including a BBC Radio 4 Archive Hour documentary. Their contents are here published in full for the first time.

  Ross Willis's debut play is a wildly imaginative, irreverent look at life in and after the care system. It was premiered at Theatre503, London, in March 2019, directed by Theatre503 Artistic Director Lisa Spirling.

  Where Sat The Lovers is about codes, hallucinations, Isaac Newton, war crimes, seeing meaning where there's none and vice versa. It's about facing an overwhelming world and trying to make sense of it all.
  Created by Carys D. Coburn with MALAPROP Theatre, it was first staged at Project Arts Centre, Dublin, as part of the 2021 Dublin Fringe Festival, directed by Claire O'Reilly.
