Summary

A fourth century Christian ascetic, Sulpicius Severus is an important authority for Gallo-Roman history and the most graceful writer of his time. His most famous work is a biography of Saint Martin of Tours, of whom he was a disciple and his most famous hagiographer. He also wrote an influential ‘Sacred History’, narrating events from the Creation to his own time, while omitting the Gospels. Sulpicius’ ‘Dialogues’ are a literary masterpiece in which the relative merits of Martin’s monastery are debated by one of its inmates with a traveller, who has recently returned to Aquitania from the ascetics of the North African desert. Delphi’s Ancient Classics series provides eReaders with the wisdom of the Classical world, offering both English translations and the original Latin texts. This eBook presents Sulpicius’ complete works, with illustrations, informative introductions and the usual Delphi bonus material. (Version 1)

Unlock the more straightforward side of The Giver with this concise and insightful summary and analysis!
This engaging summary presents an analysis of The Giver by Lois Lowry, which follows a young boy in a futuristic society who is called on to become his community's "Receiver of Memory". As he shoulders the burden of his society's collective memory, he soon realises that the apparently idyllic world he lives in is based on a shocking lie. As he uncovers the truth about the world around him, the reader is encouraged to reflect on profound themes such as individuality and conformism, euthanasia and the role of language in totalitarian societies. The Giver is the first novel in Lowry's The Giver Quartet, and won the prestigious Newbery Medal for children's literature in 1994. It was adapted into a film starring Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep in 2014.

In the shadows of other dimensions, there lies a nefarious force waging war upon humans from the space between spaces for millennia, a dark force that governs not just our thoughts and actions but our very souls. The very advent of time began the slave master hierarchy between us and those unseen forces behind our every action and thought. They built and created "rules" and systems of thought, created kingdoms and spawned religions used to rule the masses from afar by controlling the ebb and flow of space and time on an epic level. Under the guise of "free will" and individualism the systems in place around us actually ensures that we have no choice but to comply and obey an underlying agenda that’s at its core is evil, put in place by beings that feed and are nurtured by the control they maintain over planet earth.

This is the story of the real Men in Black.

Are Your Kids Psychic? - And How...

Are Your Kids Psychic by Eric Stillwell offers a simple test you can perform at home to find out. The book also covers other, more elaborate tests as well as information on psychic phenomena and why we have these latent abilities.
Psychic ability might be an inherent but latent aspect of consciousness, accessible when the mind transcends normal sensory filtering. By cultivating awareness through meditation, intuition practice, and altered states, humans may tap into a wider reality field where these abilities become natural expressions.
An even simpler explanation is that we are biological creatures living in a biological world that is interconnected on so many levels we take for granted. Whether the fact that an extensive mycelium network runs underground connecting trees and plants, or the sensory perceptions of animals, or how a dog knows you are a kind person or not, there is much evidence for something greater than ourselves.
Children have not been indoctrinated at an early age and, as such, are open to many things.
If you know that your child was naturally psychic, wouldn’t you want to ensure that they could maximize this gift rather than bury it in our societal trap?
"A wonderful home experiment that my kids enjoyed and wowed my wife and me with the results." Morgan Jones

    Spiderweb Capitalism - How...

In 2015, the anonymous leak of the Panama Papers brought to light millions of financial and legal documents exposing how the superrich hide their money using complex webs of offshore vehicles. Spiderweb Capitalism takes you inside this shadow economy, uncovering the mechanics behind the invisible, mundane networks of lawyers, accountants, company secretaries, and fixers who facilitate the illicit movement of wealth across borders and around the globe.

Kimberly Kay Hoang conducted hundreds of in-depth interviews with private wealth managers, fund managers, entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, bankers, auditors, and other financial professionals. She traces the flow of capital from offshore funds in places like the Cayman Islands, Samoa, and Panama to special-purpose vehicles and holding companies in Singapore and Hong Kong, and how it finds its way into risky markets onshore in Vietnam and Myanmar. Hoang reveals the strategies behind spiderweb capitalism and examines the moral dilemmas of making money in legal, financial, and political gray zones.

Spiderweb Capitalism sheds critical light on how global elites capitalize on risky frontier markets, and deepens our understanding of the paradoxical ways in which global economic growth is sustained through states where the line separating the legal from the corrupt is not always clear.

In a world that often misunderstands or underestimates the capabilities and worth of individuals with disabilities, Accompanying Disability offers a compassionate, faithful model for nurturing relationships with loved ones with disabilities based on mutual respect, dignity, and affection, rather than patronizing attitudes or pity.

Author Topher Endress brings a wealth of insight and experience as a pastor and theologian whose father became a quadriplegic after a hiking accident. Do you want to connect with readers on a deeper level?
Do you want your books to stand out in a sea of content by being authentic and personal in your writing whatever the genre?
Are you interested in creative self-development?
If yes, Writing the Shadow is for you.
This is a book of my heart and it contains many personal stories — but this book is really about helping you reach readers with your words — and move to the next level in your writing. We all long to write boldly, without filters or fear.
To spin stories that capture the messy beauty of what it means to be human. Tales that lay bare the truth of living — darkness and all.
    But something holds us back.
Whispers of “Who do you think you are?” and “You don’t have permission to write that.” Our own self-censorship and the judgment of others keep us from writing freely — and sometimes, from living fully.
But all great art taps into darkness, and your most compelling work emerges when you embrace your full humanity—both light and Shadow.
In Writing the Shadow, I’ll guide you on an intimate journey to explore the darkness and discover the gold lying hidden in its depths. Gold that may be the source of your best creative work in the years ahead.
The Shadow is calling. It’s time to turn your inner darkness into words.
“I love everything Joanna Penn does, but Writing the Shadow is the icing on the cake. Ms Penn has found the gold within the darkness and has lit a candle to show us the way.” Steven Pressfield, author of The War of Art
