Sinopse

This comprehensive guide from the editors of Popular Science covers everything a new inventor needs to know from starting out to running a start-up.   Contrary to popular opinion, you don’t have to be an ace electrician or a coding prodigy to develop your own game-changing invention. All you need is curiosity, a desire to fix a common problem, and the determination to see your ideas become reality. And it won’t hurt to have this book handy—a volume full of vital tips, skills, and strategies that will take you from zero to inventor.   Everyone knows about Bill Gates or Steve Jobs, but in TheTotal Inventor’s Manual, you’ll also learn from the examples of those intrepid inventors who gave us the first home pregnancy test, the Super Soaker, the Roomba, the digital camera, and many other products that have changed the world.   Here you will learn to turn your vision into a reality with a crash course in ideation, prototyping, and testing—including lessons in 3D-printing, coding, robotics, and more. You’ll discover funding strategies that range from running a Kickstarter campaign to making a venture capital pitch, plus tips on manufacturing, supply chains, marketing, and running—or selling—your new company!

Have you ever struggled to feel worthy at work? Do you know or lead people who do?

When Amelia Dunlop first heard the phrase "elevating the human experience" in a leadership team meeting with her boss, she thought, "He is crazy if he thinks we will ever say those words out loud to each other much less to a potential client."

We've been conditioned to separate our personal and professional selves, but work is fundamental to our human experience. Love and worth have a place in work because our humanity and authentic identities make our work better. The acknowledgement of our intrinsic worth as human beings and the nurturing of our own or another's growth through love ultimately contribute to higher performance and organizational growth. Now as the Chief Experience Officer at Deloitte Digital, Amelia Dunlop knows we must embrace elevating the human experience for the advancement and success of ourselves and our organizations.

This book integrates the findings of a quantitative study to better understand feelings of love and worth in the workplace and introduces three paths that allow individuals to create the professional experience they desire for themselves, their teams, and their clients.

In a world with a surplus of ideas, what separates a good idea from a bad one? Learn how to cultivate a mindset that produces the kind of ideas people can't turn down.

Most professionals cannot generate a solid idea. They either offer up tired or reused ones, or they generate lots of ideas but none that are worth pursuing.

A great idea presents a well-formulated thought or plan of action that spurs growth, change, advancement, adaptation, or new insight. Worthwhile ideas move the needle; they change the playing field altogether.

The New Art of Ideas is designed to help readers consistently produce worthwhile ideas by becoming nimble and imaginative thinkers better equipped to compete and produce in a global economy. Robin Landa identifies the Three Gs of every good idea:

    -	Goal-Your vision for the end
    -	Gap-The underdeveloped area that your idea fills
    -	Gain-The overall benefits of your goal

With explanations and examples of each component, this book demystifies the process of effective ideation and hands you the key to unlock your creative potential.

Cost Per Action Cash - Make Cash...

It's never been easier to make money with CPA. What exactly does CPA stand for? It's simply COST PER ACTION. You are paid whenever someone completes an offer whether it is a sale or lead using your referral link. There are many CPA companies available to choose from, each having dozens or even hundreds offers
Upon completing the reading of this eBook, you will have a clear understanding of what it takes to profit from CPA offers, and will be able to get started promoting. It's possible you've completed CPA offers in the past and didn't realize that you were literally giving the person money just from you downloading a software application, or inputting your zip code or email address into a form. It's really amazing that something as simple as entering your email address into a form with one field can result in being paid up to $1.50 in most cases.
When you join a CPA company what you're basically doing is aiding that company in promoting the advertisers that have registered with that company to have their product or service promoted. CPA companies break down their service into two categories.
Category one is the Advertisers. These are the companies that have paid the CPA Company to promote their product. In most cases they have pre-paid a deposit to have their product or service promoted. Once the deposit is made and the offer goes live within the CPA Company's database, it is made available for the second category.
Category two is the Publishers. As noted, the Advertisers have their company listed with the CPA Company's database, so now it is available for the Publishers to start promoting. The Publishers are the promoters. You will be the Publisher, as you will be promoting the offers listed within the CPA Company's database by the Advertisers.
That's basically how the CPA networks work. You have the Advertisers and the Publishers.

Respected DEI expert Sara Taylor presents a down-to-earth guide on how to tackle unconscious biases and foster true equity in our rapidly changing world. Through relatable examples and practical strategies, listeners learn to deliberately slow down their thought processes and become aware of their filters in various situations. Taylor encourages listeners to question their own assumptions by asking, "Do I know that what I'm thinking is actually true?" and "Why might I be reacting this way?"

The book demonstrates the importance of a clear set of competencies, skills, and strategies for addressing unconscious bias. By developing a culturally competent mindset and using a shared, holistic language to discuss these issues, listeners gain the tools to understand, discuss, and implement change both at home and in the workplace. This approach avoids blame or shame, making it accessible and empowering for everyone.

The book's insights extend beyond individuals; it demonstrates how organizations can scale up cultural competence to transform their structures and systems. With a strong sense of hope, listeners are empowered to make a difference, creating a more just and equitable world for all.
