Synopsis

Beautiful music and fun sound-effects help tell the classic tale of “Thumbelina.” When a good-hearted poor peasant gives her last loaf of bread to a beggar, she is given a corn seed in return. Imagine the peasant woman's surprise when in the morning a beautiful flower appears with a tiny young lady inside its petals. The peasant woman names her Thumbelina. Find out what happens when an old ugly frog takes Thumbelina to be his son's wife. A happy ending adds interest to this fairy tale and encourages a lifelong love of great storytelling.

Shinbi is not a particularly ghosty ghost. At night she likes making tiny bouquets of things, and gazing at the far away stars. Haunting? Not so much. Even if that’s what the other ghosts like.

In the daytime, in a meadow, sits a single rock, casting a single shadow, named Greem. He’d really like someone to talk to. But who?

He writes one word on his lonely rock: “Hi” and hopes someone will see it. Sure enough, in the darkness of night, Shinbi finds the note! But who could have written it?

Eight-year-old Itasca and six-year-old River choose three details and Daddy Dude comes up with an original tale on the spot. This collection includes "Parachutte, Skyscraper, Bouncy Ball," about a girl who lives on the 100th floor and is determined to find a more interesting way down to the street than the boring old elevator. When her parents veto rappelling down, she goes for something even more extreme. This audiobook also includes "Submarine, Dog, Booby Trap," about a group of sailors who want to adopt a dog before they head back under the sea.
