The Heist by Daniel Silva | Digest & Review

The Heist is a thriller novel authored by Daniel Silva in his famous Gabriel Allon series. In this book, the superspy Gabriel Allon takes a break from his work of restoring a painting in Venice to investigate the torture and killing of a former British ambassador and businessman, Jack Bradshaw. The murder is associated with stolen art, a masterpiece by Caravaggio that has been missing for many decades. Gabriel Allon's investigation takes him to numerous countries, among them Switzerland, France, Austria, and Israel. He eventually discovers a direct involvement of the dictatorial Syrian regime. Therefore, Allon and a team of Israeli detectives venture into a complex covert operation.
Readers on Amazon have given The Heist a nearly perfect score. The novel has been ranked number one in categories such as Suspense, Action & Adventure, and Thriller.
