X Minus One was a half-hour science fiction radio series broadcast from April 24, 1955 until January 9, 1958 over NBC. Initially a revival of NBC's Dimension X (1950-51), X Minus One is widely considered among the finest science fiction dramas ever produced for radio. The first 15 episodes were new versions of Dimension X episodes, but the remainders were adaptations by NBC staff writers, including Ernest Kinoy and George Lefferts, of newly published science fiction stories by leading writers in the field. This collection includes stories by Isaac Asimov, William Tenn, Robert Heinlein, H.L. Gold, Robert Sheckley and Steven Tall. New York’s finest radio actors are heard in the supporting casts, including Bob Hastings, Jan Miner, Luis Van Rooten, Teri Kean and Les Damon.

Someone has seen a wolf. Where did it come from? How many are there? Someone must be able to do something about them. Otherwise, how will our children get to school? And how will we all get to line-dancing in the village hall?
Set over one extraordinary day in an ordinary village, Wolves Are Coming For You is a play for two actors – or many more – exploring just how much wild we're comfortable with.
Joel Horwood's play was first performed in a co-production between Pentabus Theatre Company and Everyman Theatre Cheltenham in 2017, on a tour of the UK.

After Semyon Izrailevich Lipkin was named Poetry Book Society Recommended Translation (Winter 2011)

Semyon Izrailevich Lipkin (1911-2003) is now recognised as a leading literary figure in Russia, though he is still relatively unknown in the west. In his own country, he was for many years known primarily as a translator, with only close friends able to read his poems. These friends included the great poet Anna Akhmatova, who acknowledged and supported his genius. It was not until the collapse of the Soviet Union that the general reading public was allowed to become fully aware of the scope and depth of Semyon Lipkin's own poetry.

His work is concerned with history and philosophical exploration, but above all shows a keen sense of people's diverse destinies. His poems are rich with references to his Jewish heritage and to the Bible, and they draw on a first-hand awareness of the tragedies of World War II.

Yvonne Green has worked for eight years, making and working from literal translations to create 'versions' – poems 'after Lipkin' that bring to English some of this fascinating writer's most characteristic verse.

"Beowulf" is an Old English epic poem and one of the most significant and influential works of early English literature. Consisting of over 3,000 lines, it narrates the tale of its hero, Beowulf, and his adventures as he battles the monster Grendel, Grendel's mother, and later in his life, a dragon. The poem delves into themes of heroism, bravery, the transient nature of life, and the conflict between good and evil. Written by an unknown poet, "Beowulf" dates back to somewhere between the 8th and early 11th century and is preserved in a single manuscript known as the Nowell Codex.
