Summary

Gitanjali meaning song offerings in Bengali, is a collection of poems by the renowned Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore. It was first published in 1910 and won Tagore the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913, making him the first non-European to win the prestigious award. The poems are written in lyrical prose, expressing themes of love, devotion, longing, and the quest for spiritual enlightenment. The collection is deeply rooted in Tagore's own spiritual journey and reflects his belief in the unity of all religions and the universal essence of humanity.

Rabindranath Tagore (1861–1941) was a multifaceted genius and one of the most prominent figures in Indian literature, art, and culture. He was born in Calcutta (now Kolkata), India, into a prominent Bengali family known for its contributions to literature, music, and social reform.

The book is written in a series of memory lane vignettes depicting memories of Selia’s life with an ex-wise guy. The book starts at the end of the story and through the vignettes of the ups and downs of living with him and how a person’s past can follow them wherever they go. The story ends where it started. The love story between the couple who met late in life is dramatic and quite heated. The depiction of how hospice helped Selia through her husband’s dying process was a dramatic life-learning situation.

The language of Poetry is an art that most of us attempt at some point in our lives. Although its commonplace exposure has been somewhat marginalised in today’s often fast-paced lives we all recognise good verse that can empathise with our thoughts or open us up to experience new things in new ways, to better understand and to enjoy the many strands of our lives.
But finding a starting point can be overwhelming, even off-putting, so in this series we offer up our Top 10 classic poets, who brim with talent and verse, on a range of subjects and themes that we can all enjoy.
The United States may be far younger than many nations on Earth, yet its tumultuous history has reaped a harvest of poets and poetry of very fine calibre. In this volume we explore the verse of the South-East.

Basquiats and Birkins, gospel and pop, fantasy and reality: all collide around a Bel Air swimming pool in this deeply surreal exploration of intimacy and identity.
"Daddy" is Jeremy O. Harris's blistering melodrama, first performed in New York City in 2019, and at the Almeida Theatre, London, in 2022, directed by Danya Taymor.

The apprenticeships are only meant to last a year - there were never any guarantees beyond that. For Ava, Liv, Mason and Trent, they're just trying to get through the day. They don't know why there's an endless stream of strangers passing through, but no-one ever tells them anything. In a couple of months they'll be kicked out anyway, and God knows what happens after that. Who's looking out for them?
Scissors is a play about family, heritage and legacy, and is part of Chris Bush's trilogy of plays about a Sheffield manufacturing family, Rock / Paper / Scissors. The three plays were first performed simultaneously with the same cast moving between three theatres in Sheffield – the Crucible, the Lyceum and the Studio – as part of Sheffield Theatres' fiftieth birthday celebrations in 2022.
