He served as a special adviser in the UK government for three and a half years, working across four departments. Peter has worked on three continents for the BBC, Sky News and ITV and has written for publications including The Times, the Sunday Independent and Your Cat magazine. He is currently a presenter on Talk and, occasionally, Times Radio.
  
  After being educated in Northern Ireland, Peter studied at St Hugh's College, Oxford, before winning a Fulbright scholarship to the Columbia School of Journalism, New York.
  He lives in London with his rescue cat Jack.

In every book he wrote, he mentions that he owes his life to a man named Lorenzo, and he returned persistently, in the last years of his life, to the man of few words who saved his life.

  When it comes to politics, in today's day and age our country is more divided than ever.   In other words, the American people are not subjects, we are citizens, and as citizens it is our inherent right, nay, our responsibility to collectively decide how the levers of US political power are pulled because, at the end of the day, the government answers to us, not the other way around. But we can't effectively do this when we are busy dividing ourselves into teams and fighting each other, can we? 
  In essence, that is the problem that this book seeks to remedy.
