Summary
Mute artist Juan Salvatierra spent sixty years painting his village life in Argentina’s river frontier with Uruguay with great detail on a series of long rolls of canvas. After his death, Salvatierra’s sons return to the village to deal with what they’ve inherited: a shed packed with over two miles of painted canvas. European museum curators are interested in acquiring Salvatierra’s life’s work, but an essential roll is missing. The search brings to light connections between art and life and family secrets.
