Synopsis

A Welsh monk of the ninth century, Nennius is traditionally ascribed as the author of the ‘Historia Brittonum’, a complex history of the ancient Britons, blending history with myth. It establishes the genealogies of various Welsh and British rulers, tracing their lineage back to ancient times and legendary figures such as King Arthur. The ‘Historia Brittonum’ would influence the work of Geoffrey of Monmouth and many other medieval chroniclers. Although the text’s accuracy is open to question, it provides a valuable window into the way that the ancient Britons viewed themselves and their history. Delphi’s Medieval Library provides eReaders with rare and precious works of the Middle Ages, with noted English translations and the original texts. This eBook presents the ‘Historia Brittonum’, with illustrations, informative introductions and the usual Delphi bonus material. (Version 1)

Freud examines the similarities and differences between the two mental states, and argues that delusions can be understood as a kind of waking dream. He also discusses the role of wish fulfillment in both dreams and delusions, and suggests that they both provide insight into the unconscious mind. Additionally, Freud analyzes specific cases of delusions, including religious delusions and paranoid delusions, and discusses their psychological significance. Overall, "Delusion and Dream" provides a thought-provoking examination of the workings of the human mind and the relationship between conscious and unconscious mental states. Boomers are narcissists. Millennials are spoiled. Gen Zers are lazy. We assume people born around the same time have basically the same values. It makes for good headlines, but is it true? Bobby Duffy has spent years studying generational distinctions. In this book, he argues that our generational identities are not fixed but fluid, reforming throughout our lives. Based on an analysis of what over three million people really think about homeownership, sex, well-being, and more, Duffy offers a new model for understanding how generations form, how they shape societies, and why generational differences aren’t as sharp as we think. The Generation Myth is a vital rejoinder to alarmist worries about generational warfare and social decline. The kids are alright, it turns out. Their parents are too.

"The Analysis of Mind" is a book written by the British philosopher and mathematician Bertrand Russell, first published in 1921. The book is a comprehensive exploration of the nature of the human mind and its various functions, and is considered one of Russell's most important and influential works.
In "The Analysis of Mind", Russell argues that the mind is not a single, unified entity, but rather a collection of distinct mental processes, such as perception, memory, imagination, and reasoning. He examines these processes in detail, exploring their underlying structures, functions, and relationships to one another.
Russell also discusses the relationship between mind and body, arguing against the traditional dualistic view that sees the mind and body as separate and distinct entities. He proposes a more holistic approach, in which mental and physical events are seen as part of a single, integrated system.
Throughout "The Analysis of Mind", Russell draws on a wide range of sources, including philosophy, psychology, and neuroscience, and his writing is characterized by clarity and rigor. The book continues to be widely read and studied today, and remains an important contribution to the fields of philosophy and psychology.
