Sinopsis

Piter's honeymoon was off to a splendid start. He and his bride had a fancy bridal suite on a luxury spaceliner, and had their own private view of the most beautiful aurora in the known galaxy.
Then it all went to hell.
Narrowly escaping the spaceliner's destruction in a cargo shuttle, he, his bride, and five others crash onto an un-colonized moon, where they have to figure out how to survive until the rescue comes.

A New York Times Editors’ Choice short story collection hailed as “a fresh masterpiece of Southern fiction . . . touching, haunting and brilliant” (Dallas News).   Long considered a master of the form and an essential voice in American fiction, Michael Knight delivers a “deft and wonderful, wholly original” collection of interlinked stories set among the members of a Mobile, Alabama family in the years preceding a devastating hurricane (The New York Times Book Review).   Grappling with dramas both epic and personal, from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill to the “unspeakable misgivings of contentment,” Eveningland captures with perfect authenticity of place the ways in which ordinary life astounds us with its complexity.   A teenaged girl with a taste for violence holds a burglar hostage in her house on New Year’s Eve; a middle-aged couple examines the intricacies of their marriage as they prepare to throw a party; and a real estate mogul in the throes of grief buys up all the property on an island only to be accused of madness by his daughters.   These stories, infused with humor and pathos, excavate brilliantly the latent desires and motivations that drive life forward in “a luminous collection from a writer of the first rank” (Esquire).

“The best work of literature to come out of Israel in the last five thousand years—better than Leviticus and nearly as funny.” —Gary Shteyngart, New York Times-bestselling author From Israel’s most popular and acclaimed young writer—“Stories that are short, strange, funny, deceptively casual in tone and affect, stories that sound like a joke but aren’t” (Yann Martel, Man Booker Prize-winning author).Already featured on This American Life and Selected Shorts and in Zoetrope: All Story and L.A. Weekly, these short stories include a man who finds equal pleasure in his beautiful girlfriend and the fat, soccer-loving lout she turns into after dark; shrinking parents; a case of impotence cured by a pet terrier; and a pessimistic Middle Eastern talking fish. A bestseller in Israel, The Nimrod Flipout is an extraordinary collection from the preeminent Israeli writer of his generation.“Keret can do more with six strange and funny paragraphs than most writers can do with 600 pages.” —Kyle Smith, People “Possibly the most absurd, funniest book ever to address suicide bombings . . . Each story is like a tightly wound joke, a concise and targeted observation that slays because of the truth of its content and the expertise in the execution.” —Jonathan Messinger, Time Out Chicago“These stories exude a force and zing that some readers will find life-changing.” —Jesse Berrett, San Francisco Chronicle“If there were a fiction genre combining wit, wild imagination, penetrating insights, fantasy (sexual and otherwise) and the paranormal, Keret would dominate it like Stephen King dominates horror . . . Keret’s a strange genius.” —Kevin Walker, The Tampa Tribune

A box-set full of heat, heart, and literary innuendo.TALK WORDY TO MEChuck McArthur is a tall, dark, and handsome man who happens to love books as much as I do. He calls me Cookie, just like his gramps, and I’m more than eager for him to have a taste. Luckily for me, he likes a woman with some curves, and lucky for him, his dirty talk is quickly becoming my favorite sound.CHECK HER OUTPreston and I are a match made in heaven. After a whirlwind night where love is at the tip of both our tongues, I learn that maybe we aren’t the same after all…I wanted him to check me out on a long-term loan, but maybe it’s too good to be true. Maybe we better shelve this romance before both our hearts get broken.CAN’T HELP MY SHELFArmy officer Nash Nichols walks into the children’s section of the library where I work, and changes my trajectory forever. Falling in love sounds sweet and all, but my eyes have always been on another prize: being a mother. Maybe I will get my own version of a happily ever after … or maybe my heart will be broken in ways I didn’t see coming. His Curvy Librarian is a filthy-sweet series brought to you by Frankie Love and Kaylin Evans. It’s full of heat, heart, and literary innuendo. What’s sexier than a man who loves to read? How about a naked man who loves to read?
