The reason for the high number of cross-references is that each word within a given definition is further linked to its own definition in Easton's Bible Dictionary & Smith's Bible Dictionary & Nave's Topical Bible Concordance & Torrey's New Topical Textbook & Hitchcock's Bible Names Dictionary & American Tract Society Bible Dictionary & Fausset's Bible Dictionary & The Poor Man's Concordance and Dictionary, if such a definition exists. We have also included the King James Bible and New Heart English Bible and linked the Bible references from the dictionary. And we have referenced the use of the definitions in the Bible back into the dictionary.Written by Orville James Nave and referred to as "the result of fourteen years of delight and untiring study of the Word of God." Originally published as a three volume set in 1863, in London and Boston, USA. A dictionary of The Bible and its antiquities, biography, geography, and natural history. Reuben Archer Torrey's The New Topical Text Book: A Scripture Text Book for the Use of Ministers, Teachers, and all Christian Workers. Originally published 1897. Is a reference book/concordance on topics found in the Holy Bible. It contains 620 entries and over 20,000 scripture references.
 From "Hitchcock's New and Complete Analysis of the Holy Bible," written by Roswell D. Hitchcock in 1869. It contains 2737 entries from the Bible and Bible-related proper names and their meanings. It holds 3946 entries on topics related to The Bible and stands as one of the best single-volume Bible encyclopedias ever written for general use. Fausset writes in an easy to understand format for any serious student of the Bible or scholar. It is an excellent tool for Bible study whether it be in-depth or basic. It holds 1449 entries on topics related to The Bible and has been designed by Robert Hawker for 'The General Use Of All Pious Readers Of The Word Of God'
