Synopsis

Corona Virus has arrived on Planet Hyman, and only Beryl and Legless can help, a couple at war with their past. Will they rise to the occasion or fall out for good?

Planet Hy Man is under the leadership of H2, who has as much experience as a toddler. With a dwindling budget, she is still learning the ropes when a portal to earth opens.

H2 summons the experts to close the portal, unaware of the coronavirus until a plague of rats staggers onto the planet as infectious as the bubonic plague.

Blocking the portal becomes second to the spread of a virus, and with a shopping list a mile long, it is left to Legless and Beryl to save the planet.

Will they put their grievances to one side to save planet Hy Man or are they too old to change?

Rebel Without A Mask is the quirky fourth book in the Planet Hy Man science fiction comedy series. If you like high-mileage heroines, fast-paced satire, and meticulously crafted universes, then you’ll love Kerrie Noor’s otherworldly farce.

The classic comedy about seventeenth-century French society—and a man who despises everyone. This play in verse, which debuted in 1666 in Paris, lives on as one of the greatest masterpieces of stage comedy. It follows Alceste—who constantly bemoans the flaws, foibles, and hypocrisies of the human race—and his competition with many other suitors for the hand of the alluring and flirtatious Celimene. In addition to its sheer entertainment value as an intriguing tale of romantic rivalries, The Misanthrope sparks debate on questions of honesty, idealism, and social niceties to this day.

Lawnmower Chronicles is a humorous look at lawn care. Mowing the lawn sounds easy enough. Those of us with large lawns, know better. How we long for the chance to climb up on our mowers and mow worry free. Free to finish with all the belts still attached. Free to finish with all the blades in tact. And free to finish with all four wheels still on the tractor. What about two consecutive times mowing, without any mishaps? Is it even possible? Some of us can only dream.

When the absent-minded Earl of Emsworth wanders off with the pride of his scarab collection, American millionaire J. Preston Peters is willing to pay $5000 to the person who can get it back for him. Discretion is necessary since Peters’ daughter is engaged to Emsworth’s son. Joan Valentine and Ashe Marson both decide to go after the reward-she as Aline Peter’s ladies maid, and he as Mr. Peter’s valet-and they all end up at Blandings Castle. But is it possible for anyone to steal back the scarab with The Efficient Baxter ever vigilant? This is, IMHO, one of Wodehouse’s funniest novels. –Debra Lynn
