Synopsis

The Sorrows of Young Werther by Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe  Die Leiden des jungen Werthers) is a 1774 epistolary novel by Johann Wolfgang Goethe, which appeared as a revised edition in 1787.

It was one of the main novels in the Sturm und Drang period in German literature, and influenced the later Romantic movement. Goethe, aged 24 at the time, finished Werther in five and a half weeks of intensive writing in January to March 1774. It instantly placed him among the foremost international literary celebrities and was among the best known of his works.

Most of The Sorrows of Young Werther, a story about a young man's extreme response to unrequited love, is presented as a collection of letters written by Werther, a young artist of a sensitive and passionate temperament, to his friend Wilhelm.

These give an intimate account of his stay in the fictional village of Wahlheim (based on Garbenheim [de; it; nl], near Wetzlar), whose peasants have enchanted him with their simple ways. There he meets Charlotte, a beautiful young girl who takes care of her siblings after the death of their mother. Werther falls in love with Charlotte despite knowing beforehand that she is engaged to a man named Albert, eleven years her senior.

    Hi everyone!

Above all else, I’m a dad of four children.
These interactive Jones Stories were shared verbally with my two youngest children. These stories are designed to expand parent’s and children’s imaginations. Jones Stories are and were maximum FUN!

I’ve been writing for many years. I’ve written film screenplays, scripts, magazine articles, advertising copy, and I’ve worked in the entertainment business for over 30 years.
As a parent, I wanted something different for my children, to stir their active imaginations.
To keep the action moving, these books are written like a movie script. Very little description is given, so that each child uses their own imagination.
Everyone gets the story in their own mind’s eye.

These stories were loved by my children and please enjoy the wild Jones Family ride.
The Jones Family are an average family that stumbles into a world of magic.

    Thank you all,
    Jamee Dee

Bick, Beck, Storm, and Tommy Kidd have uncovered and rescued some of the world’s greatest treasure, without ever seeking out fame and glory. So they aren’t happy when the Collier Kids (as in Nathan Collier, the Kidds’s nemesis) start treasure hunting for the camera, more focused on looking good and selling ads for their streaming show than actually recovering treasure. When the Kidds are invited to compete with the Colliers for the title of “The World’s Greatest Treasure Hunting Kids,” they jump at the chance to show the world what real treasure hunting looks like.    But with rumors swirling of a family mistake made by the Kidds’ great-grandfather years ago, the Kidds discover that fame and glory aren’t the only things on the line. Will they be able to solve the mystery, restore their family name, and recover their biggest treasure haul yet?

Postmark Ganymede by Robert Silverberg - Consider the poor mailman of the future. To "sleet and snow and dead of night"—things that must not keep him from his appointed rounds—will be added, sub-zero void, meteors, and planets that won't stay put. Maybe he'll decide that for six cents an ounce it just ain't worth it.
"I'm washed up," Preston growled bitterly. "They made a postman out of me. Me—a postman!"
He crumpled the assignment memo into a small, hard ball and hurled it at the bristly image of himself in the bar mirror. He hadn't shaved in three days—which was how long it had been since he had been notified of his removal from Space Patrol Service and his transfer to Postal Delivery.
Suddenly, Preston felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up and saw a man in the trim gray of a Patrolman's uniform.
    "What do you want, Dawes?"
"Chief's been looking for you, Preston. It's time for you to get going on your run."
Preston scowled. "Time to go deliver the mail, eh?" He spat. "Don't they have anything better to do with good spacemen than make letter carriers out of them?"
