Summary

The Three Green Twigs is a German fairy tale collected by German brothers, academics, linguists, and cultural researchers Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm under number 206 in Grimm's Fairy Tales. They were among the best-known storytellers of folk tales, and popularized stories such as "Cinderella", "Hansel and Gretel", "Rapunzel" and "Snow White".The story tells us about a very devout hermit that managed to criticize God’s judgment upon him when he looks at a guy that was going to be hung and thinks he deserves it. Then an angel appears and tells hermit to do penance and carry dry branch until three green twigs sprout. Then robbers appeared. Will the hermit cope with robbers and can he turn them into Christianity? Find it out by reading this book.
