Summary

This story was written in 1863. It was winter-time, the air was cold, but there was a bulb of the flower under the snow-covered earth. When a bulb got enough light and water it turned into a flower. “Beautiful Flower! You are the first, you are the only one” - said the sunbeam. But after several days the weather was changed and the wind said: "You had come too early! You were fooled by sunbeam and you haven't any power to resist me! Give up!" But the flower's belief in a better day was stronger than a cold wind. The flower waited for warm sunbeam and one day beautiful little girl came and broke off the flower. Since that moment the adventure of the flower started...
