Synopsis

The brightest stars were too busy to notice a lonely child’s wish, and the result was magical for both the child and the Dim Star. Have you ever felt lonely? Have you ever wished on a star? What if your wish could come true, no matter where you were or how lonely you felt? The Dim Star shows how this wish is granted for children and adults alike. After contending with different stars showing different emotions, the Dim Star gets his big chance to make the reader’s wish come true. This young reader picture book is great for bedtime, road trips, or times when we are separated from those we love. Many of the questions at the end of the story will have different answers each time the story is read, and they are helpful for facilitating conversations with young readers who may have a difficult time expressing their feelings. The charming lesson learned at the end of the story applies to everyone and will stay with young and adult readers for a lifetime.
