Synopsis

Francis Bacon (1561-1626), 1st Viscount of St. Alban, 1st Baron of Verulam, was an English philosopher and statesman who served as Attorney General and Lord Chancellor of England under King James I. Stuart.  A great scholar and an initiate of many ancient schools of wisdom, Bacon argued for the importance of natural philosophy, guided by scientific method, and his works remained influential throughout the Scientific Revolution.Francis Bacon's alleged connection to the Rosicrucians and Freemasonry has been widely discussed by authors and scholars in many books. Although there is no substantial evidence of Bacon's affiliation with Freemasonry, there are several elements that connect him with the Rosicrucian brotherhood and the highly secret Pythagorean Order. The Bacon’s study Prometheus and the State of Man, which we propose to our readers today, is taken from The Wisdom of the Ancients, a philosophical treatise written by the English philosopher and initiate in the early 17th century. It is a collection of ancient myths and fables from various cultures, including Greek, Roman, and Egyptian. Bacon uses these stories to illustrate his philosophical ideas and teachings, drawing parallels between the ancient wisdom and contemporary knowledge.

Phenomenology is a branch of philosophy that seeks to explore and describe the structures of experience as they present themselves to consciousness. Rooted in the Greek words phainomenon (meaning "that which appears") and logos (meaning "study" or "discourse"), phenomenology is concerned with the direct investigation and description of phenomena as consciously experienced, without recourse to theories about their causal explanation or objective reality. It aims to understand the essence of experiences, focusing on how things are perceived, rather than on external facts or empirical data.
Edmund Husserl, often regarded as the father of phenomenology, established the discipline in the early 20th century. His groundbreaking work sought to return philosophy to the "things themselves," emphasizing the need to examine experiences without preconceived notions or biases. Husserl introduced the concept of intentionality, the idea that consciousness is always directed toward something—it is always consciousness of something. This fundamental notion shifted the focus from the contents of the mind to the ways in which objects are experienced, highlighting the inseparable relationship between the subject and the object in acts of consciousness.
Phenomenology differs from other philosophical approaches in that it does not seek to explain experiences through causal or scientific means. Instead, it adopts a descriptive method, aiming to reveal the underlying structures that make experience possible. Through techniques such as epoché (the suspension of judgment about the external world) and phenomenological reduction (focusing solely on the contents of consciousness), phenomenologists attempt to uncover the pure essence of experiences, free from external assumptions.

Giants have existed on the Earth for most of Earth’s history. We are talking about going back hundreds of millions of years. There were also many giants on Earth in historical times when human civilization existed.
There are even credible stories of Giants existing on Earth in the present era such as one killed by US soldiers in the mountains of Afghanistan.
North America has had many sightings and there are stories of wars with Giants from the American Indians as well stories of cannibalistic giants who were killed by Indians in a cave.
Many historical figures such as King Og and Gilgamesh were also purported to be Giants. Goliath from the Bible may also have been from a tribe of giants at the time.
Giants are much more involved in our history and the building of ancient megalithic structures than we give them credit for. They probably originated from an Alien race.
You should read this book to learn more about this unusual aspect of human and world history.

“The story of how [Dennis Priven] got away with murder . . . a fascinating diorama of life in the Peace Corps in the 1970s, on the edge of the world.” —The New York Times Book Review

In 1975, a new group of Peace Corps volunteers landed on the island nation of Tonga. Among them was Deborah Gardner—a beautiful twenty-three-year-old who, in the following year, would be stabbed twenty-two times and left for dead inside her hut.

Another volunteer turned himself in to the Tongan police, and many of the other Americans were sure he had committed the crime. But with the aid of the State Department, he returned home a free man. Although the story was kept quiet in the United States, Deb Gardner’s death and the outlandish aftermath took on legendary proportions in Tonga.

Now journalist Philip Weiss “shines daylight on the facts of this ugly case with the fervor of an avenging angel” (Chicago Tribune), exposing a gripping tale of love, violence, and clashing ideals. With bravura reporting and vivid, novelistic prose, Weiss transforms a Polynesian legend into a singular artifact of American history and a profoundly moving human story.

“This meticulously deconstructed tale of a Peace Corps volunteer murdering another in Tonga and basically getting away with it has to be one of the most exotic true-crime books of recent years, and one of the saddest.” —The Washington Post

“[A] compelling and disturbing exposé . . . even novice true crime readers will find this a gripping and deeply sad story that will do little to bolster faith in the U.S. government’s ethical priorities.” —Publishers Weekly (starred review)
