Synopsis

How long can you run away from fate? In the case of Chloe Talbot and Joshua Bryce, the answer is . . . 
 
 
 
About seventeen years. 
 
 
 
That's how long it's been since they shared a life-altering kiss on the turret at Westlake. And then Joshua disappeared, taking a step back from his duties as Guardian of the Time Medallion, leaving Chloe wondering what went wrong. 
 
 
 
Now Joshua wants to make amends. He travels from nineteenth century Welham Island to present-day Westlake because he can sense something is amiss with the ever-composed Chloe. She wants nothing to do with him, but with Westlake school on the verge of financial ruin, Chloe must get creative if she wants her family’s legacy to survive. She lets Joshua in, despite her every instinct. 
 
 
 
But the biggest threat arrives from a man who accuses Chloe's grandfather of stealing a painting from his family in 1942, Germany. Joshua suggests the best way to save the school is to go back in time to a Europe besieged by World War II to steal it and return it to her accuser. 
 
 
 
Will Chloe and Joshua succeed? And will their fiery attraction survive when they return to their own world?
