Summary

Five children find a route through the wilderness in this exciting mountain-race adventure for middle grade readers. Sal, Joe, Francie and Humphrey misplace their famous mapmaker mother as they begin the Great Race to map a rail route through an uncharted wilderness. Their father didn't return from his last expedition and now their money is gone. This race is their last chance. They have 28 days to find and map the best route. There'll be bears, bees, bats, river crossings, cliff falls, impossible weather—but worst of all, they're racing five teams of adults who do not play by the rules.

In the soul of each person lies a bud waiting to blossom, and "THE AUBADE OF SPRING’S ZEPHYR" is a compendium of lyrical droplets that promise to transform the soul's landscape. With each turn of the page, the reader is invited on a journey through the seasons of the heart, where every stanza nurtures the growth of new perspectives and deeper connections, melting the ice around each person's bud.
Crafted with the finesse of a master wordsmith, this collection is a medley of emotions, where the beauty of dawn, the quietude of twilight, and the introspective silence beneath the boughs speak volumes of the unspoken.
This journey in verse, much like a song that serenades the soul, carries the fresh whispers of seasons waking anew. It grants nature a tongue to speak in secrets, teaching morals hidden in each view to those who listen closely.

Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion mount a search for their friend, but when that is successful, they will need to become a rescue party!
