Synopsis
Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" is a short story narrated by an unnamed individual who insists on their sanity while recounting the murder of an old man. The narrator is disturbed by the old man's pale blue eye, which they describe as resembling a "vulture's eye." This obsession leads the narrator to plot the old man's death, claiming that their actions are driven by the eye rather than any personal animosity.
