A hilarious S.T.E.A.M. chapter book for fans of Wimpy Kid and Dork Diaries, this heartwarming story is perfect for any 7-12 year old. Mikey McKenzie is an expert at using the scientific method to solve problems in his neighborhood and school. The only problem he can't solve is that he's just 10-year-old and nobody takes any of his ideas seriously. But everything changes when the kooky Principal Walker appoints him as the new school principal when she gets called away, much to the chagrin of the stern Vice Principal Sherman. It's a dream come true for Mikey to finally have the power to implement all his great ideas to improve the school. However, when the power goes to his head, the new job strains his relationships with his best friend and his sister he looks up to. On top of that, the district is threatening to close the underperforming school unless they ace the new standardized test. By the end, he'll have to think outside the box to find solutions that will save the school and his most valued relationships. S.T.E.A.M. concepts: problem-solving, scientific method, educational technology, health/medicine, and social emotional learning.

Is your child being held back by a lack of self esteem and confidence?

Why not try this gentle & relaxing, self help hypnotherapy program for young people aged about 10-15 years? It helps them recognize and place a value on their innate good qualities.
With regular bedtime or other quiet time listening, they are helped to feel more confident and cope more easily in a variety of situations in their daily life. They imagine their mind as an inner computer where they seek out and delete any unhelpful disparaging beliefs about themselves. They re-set their self esteem program with positive messages so they have respect for themselves, are more keen to try new things, learn from mistakes instead of blaming themselves, and generally enjoy being their own person.
This successful approach is based on natural, safe, sound hypnotherapy principles: act out each positive step in the imagination to dramatically increase the chance of success in the real world. The recording uses state of the art technology.
Lynda's gentle, English voice calms and re-assures as she gives suggestions for boosting confidence and self esteem. As a former teacher and clinical hypnotherapist of many years standing, she has helped thousands of children world-wide through her audio-books. She has been featured in the press, TV and radio, and is author of two widely acclaimed books on hypnotherapy for children and adults. Regular listening is the key to success!

From the Arctic Circle to Costa Rica, from Maine to the tip of Baja, California, the coyote thrives like no other animal in North America. It roams the Canadian wilderness and prowls the Arizona deserts and beyond. Over time this highly intelligent animal has learned to adapt to big cities, such as Los Angeles. It has even been sighted in Bronx, New York. But the coyote is not always welcome. Farmers and cattle ranchers, who lose valuable sheep, chickens, and cows to the hungry dog, view it as a damaging predator. On the other hand, supporters of the coyote argue that, like the wolf, the coyote plays an important role in nature. In this fascinating book, Steve Swinburne draws the reader into the secretive world of the coyote. His balanced and though-provoking text, illustrated with dramatic full-color photographs, examines how the coyote behaves and survives. He considers the past and present history of the coyote and what the future may hold in store for North America's native dog.
