France, 1985. In the forests of Brittany, something dark is stirring. Women are going missing, turning up dead, with no clue as to what’s happened. But that’s not the strangest part. Because before dying, they’ve given birth. Only, when they disappeared a month previously, they weren’t pregnant. 
It’s enough to catch Aicha’s attention and she drags Paul off to the north, to find out the truth behind the women’s disappearances. But what they discover is beyond anything they could ever have expected. Like something straight out of a fairy tale. With all the darkness and horror that contains. 
There’s terror lurking in the depths of the trees' dark. And a question. What happens when two indestructible immortals collide with an unkillable evil?
