Summary

Charles Perrault was born more than 300 years ago, in 1628. He wrote many books, but he will be remembered forever for just one: Stories or Tales from Times Past, with Morals: Tales of Mother Goose. The book contained only eight fairy tales, and they have become classics around the world. You have probably heard some of these stories in your own life! - Sleeping Beauty - Little Red Riding Hood - Blue Beard - Puss In Boots - The Fairies - Cinderella - Ricky With The Tuft - Little Tom ThumbMany of these stories were already well-known to people even in Charles Perraults time, but they had never been written down. They were stories told orally (which means spoken out loud), around the fire or at bedtime, to entertain and teach children. Some stories that Perrault wrote down were popular all over Europe, and some were also written down later in Germany as Grimm Fairy Tales.Cinderilla; or, The Little Glass Slipper:"ONCE there was a gentleman who married, for his se-cond wife, the proudest and most haughty woman that was ever seen. She had, by a former husband, two daughters of her own humour and they were indeed exactly like her in all things. He had likewise, by another wife, a young daughter, but of unparalleled goodness and sweetness of temper, which she took from her mother, who was the best creature in the world.."

A lot of questions ran through my head as I desperately clung to the roof of a magic train crossing over a gaping canyon. Like: How did I get here? What could I have done to avoid this fate? And, did I remember to shave my underarms before coming on this quest? But even after taking on a witch in a gingerbread house, bloodthirsty actors, and a whole mess of magic hunters and other fairytale shenanigans, the biggest, most pressing question pulsing through my brain as my fingers started to slip and my enemy bore down on me was this:Could I really trust the person whose life I’d ruined to keep me from falling? With antagonists closing in, inner demons threatening to consume me, and vivid nightmares chewing up my soul every time I shut my eyes, I was running out of options.I knew the moment to decide whether or not I could truly trust any of my friends was fast approaching. But my head and heart were stuck. For just like the precarious position I now found myself in, the pain of holding onto the path I’d chosen thus far was outmatched only by the worry I had over (gulp) letting it go . . .READERS LOVE CRISANTA KNIGHT:“If you like reading books full of action, magic and a strong heroine, this is the one for you.” - Crazy Cat Books"Trust, self-discovery and friendship were definitely the defining factors of this novel, with a great emphasis on trust.” The Unicorn Reader“I love this story; it brings out the inner princess in me.” One More Chapter Blog“The worldbuilding continues to be amazing.” – Pages Full of StarsTHE CRISANTA KNIGHT SERIES:Book 1 - Protagonist BoundBook 2 - The Severance GameBook 3 - Inherent FateBook 4 - The Liar, The Witch, & The WormholeBook 5 - To Death & BackBook 6 - The Lost KingBook 7 - Into The GrayBook 8 - Midnight LawBook 9 - Eternity's End
