'Fairy Tale' by Stephen King introduces Charlie Reade, a seemingly typical high school student excelling in sports and academics. However, his life is marked by tragedy, as his mother died in a hit-and-run accident when he was ten, leading his father down a path of alcoholism. Charlie learned to take care of himself and his father amidst this hardship. 
At the age of seventeen, Charlie encounters Radar, a dog, and her reclusive owner, Howard Bowditch, who lives on a hill with a mysterious locked shed in the backyard emitting strange sounds. Charlie begins working for Mr. Bowditch and forms a deep bond with Radar. Upon Bowditch's death, he leaves Charlie a cassette tape with an unbelievable story—inside the shed lies a portal to another world. 
'Fairy Tale' delves into Charlie's journey as he grapples with the mysteries hidden within the shed and the fantastical revelations that will change his life forever. Stephen King weaves a tale of intrigue and wonder, blurring the lines between reality and the extraordinary.
