Summary

When Alice Andrews, a reporter from Newark, meets Jack Russworm, a Harvard-educated doctor from Boston, she immediately senses they are from different sides of the tracks. As their love and passion develop, they get lots of advice and warnings from friends and family. Can their relationship survive, or will social status push them apart?
