Thrown in prison for a crime he has not committed, Edmond Dantes is confined to the grim fortress of If. There he learns of a great hoard of treasure hidden on the Isle of Monte Cristo and becomes determined not only to escape but to unearth the treasure and use it to plot the destruction of the three men responsible for his incarceration. A huge popular success when it was first serialized in the 1840s, Dumas was inspired by a real-life case of wrongful imprisonment when writing his epic tale of suffering and retribution.

Against the electrifying backdrop of the 1960s, Danielle Steel unveils the gripping chronicle of a young woman discovering a passion for justice and of the unsung heroes she encounters on her quest to fight the good fight. The daughter and granddaughter of prominent Manhattan lawyers, Meredith McKenzie is destined for the best of everything: top schools, elite social circles, the perfect marriage. Spending her childhood in Germany as her father prosecutes Nazi war criminals at the Nuremberg trials, Meredith soaks up the conflict between good and evil as it plays out in real time. When her family returns to the United States, she begins blazing her own trail, swimming against the tides, spurred on by her freethinking liberal grandfather, determined to become a lawyer despite her traditional, conservative father's objections. She forges a lifelong friendship with a young German Jewish woman whose family died in the concentration camps. And while her grandfather rises to the Supreme Court, Meredith enlists in the most pressing causes of her time, fighting for civil rights and an end to the Vietnam War. From the bright morning of JFK's inauguration, through the tumultuous years that follow as America hurtles toward the twin assassinations of Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy, Meredith joins the vanguard of a new generation of women, breaking boundaries socially, politically, and professionally. But when the violence of the era strikes too close to home, her once tightly knit family must survive a devastating loss, and rethink their own values and traditions in light of the times. Encompassing the remarkable people Meredith meets, the historic events she witnesses, and the sacrifices she must make, this is the story of a woman changing her world as she herself is changed by it. Beautifully told, brimming with unforgettable moments and characters, The Good Fight is an inspiring, uplifting novel with resonance for our own times.

Edward, a natural leader, commands his team with precision: Benjamin’s spud cannons, Charles’s water bombs, and Anne’s fierce screams give them the upper hand. After a fierce battle, they defeat The Rusty Anchor and celebrate their victory. Edward dreams of future adventures, knowing this is just the beginning for his loyal crew, bound by friendship and a shared thirst for adventure.
This is the first of six audiobooks in the series, the others will become available in the very near future and I do hope you enjoy this second instalment, and it's only $3, all subsequent will remain at that price as I would not like price to be a barrier to your enjoyment.
I have worked very hard and meticulously to provide you with an enjoyable experience, the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes sets the scene, so to speak, accordion, fiddle, harmonica and bango in a classical sea shanty jig called Edwards Journey”(through this story). The closing music ends the tale looking forward to the next story at about 2 minutes long and the same musical instruments and is called Edwards Voyage (to the next story). Blackbeard's real name was Edward Teach.
The story itself runs to about 13 minutes is is narrated in my own voice.
I do hope you and your family, if applicable, enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come!

The novel event of the year!

Michael is a modern young man without any attachment to the Christian religion. But one day he sets off to visit the excavation site of Khirbet Qumran - a haunting dream has suggested that he travel there. At his destination he finds a suitcase made of a metal that does not exist on earth. This suitcase contains film footage showing the life of an intimate friendship, a friendship of the young writer Joshua with the man Jesus. While watching the film, Michael realizes more and more that he has more in common with the man Jesus Christ than he ever thought possible.

This historical novel about Jesus Christ and his connection to the great holy family of the Santinians is embedded in a heartfelt love story full of passion. His groundbreaking revelations reveal the unique charism of the biblical and yet so timelessly alive person of Jesus. The book has the potential to become a classic of spiritual literature. Exciting and down to earth. Perhaps you too will be left speechless at the end and wonder whether it might not have happened in exactly the same way ...

"The life's work of the author, on which he researched and wrote for over nine years. Every part of the plot is well-founded and conscientiously researched - as incredible as it may seem at first glance."

    "A wonderful book!" - Elias

The novel is also available in German as a book and as an eBook.
