Richard Keith Flowers was born in Moultrie, Georgia in 1957. Being legally blind since birth, public school was a nightmare. Shortly after beginning eighth grade at Moultrie Junior High, he transferred to the Academy for the Blind in Macon, Georgia where he graduated high school in 1975.He choose to pursue Broadcast Journalism at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
