David Rennert
David Renner grew up in Flint, Michigan in the Forties and Fifties. He began writing fiction at fifteen. His first short story, he says, was rejected by his mother.
After graduating from high school in 1959, David served for four years in the Air Force and then attended Wayne State University in Detroit, where he earned a B.A. in History. He later did graduate work in Soviet History at WSU. He minored in Intellectual History, which he claims did nothing to improve his intellect.
